Dear Campus Community,

This is a test of the Western Alert emergency notification system. There is no emergency at this time.

In the event of an emergency, this message would direct you to more detailed sources of information and ongoing updates that would be posted on the Emergency Communications website at http://emergency.wwu.edu/ and the WWU home page at http://www.wwu.edu/.

If you have previously provided the university with your cell phone for emergency use, a test text message has been sent to your cell phone.

To subscribe to emergency text messages, please go to the Web4u link after you have logged into myWestern (http://my.wwu.edu/) to enter your cell number. Employees also may call the Human Resources Department at (360) 650-3774.

Western's emergency management team recently produced a video about our efforts here at the university. Watch that video here: http://www.onlinefast.org/wwutoday/videos/western-to-test-emergency-systems-may-9.
