At 3 a.m. today a Western Washington University student reported being the victim of a strong arm robbery at Maple and Chestnut streets near campus. The student said she was walking home alone when two young men wearing dark hoodies approached her from behind and pushed her to the ground. They demanded money and she gave them the $5 that she had. They fled the area on foot.

Bellingham Police and University Police are now searching for the suspects.  Please be particularly alert when in this area. If you have any information about this please call Bellingham Police at 911.
