The Western Washington University community is mourning the loss of WWU student Matthew Borovina, 25, who died off-campus Wednesday. His family has been notified of his death.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office is investigating his death as a possible suicide; however, the official cause of death remains open until the Medical Examiner’s Office issues their finding.
